LOS ANGELES – The L.A. Clippers have had a roller coaster of a season, and it won't get any easier with not only the postseason coming up, but the free agency decisions of Blake Griffin and Chris Paul if he opts out of the final year of his contract.

While multiple previous reports have indicated that neither player is considering leaving Los Angeles and the better team in the city, Griffin continues to refuse to discuss free agency.

“I've loved my time here, absolutely,” said Griffin, “but my main focus right now is this season. I said this before the season: I'm not doing the whole free agency talk. I'm not talking about any decision that I can't make right now.

“Like I said, my main focus is getting this team right and moving forward, getting right heading into the playoffs.”

Paul, who has spent the past six seasons with the Clippers, has heard the rumors regarding the perception of his team and he's not buying into any of that.

“I mean it depends on who you ask,” said Paul. “Everybody's always going to say, ‘they're the same old Clippers.' Like Doc said: until you do anything, then that's what it is. We haven't won. It just depends on what day of the week it is or who did we just beat. Until we do something, it's always going to be the same thing.”

The perception of this team will not change overnight, at least not during the regular season. This team has been and will continue to be judged by what they accomplish in the postseason. The last couple of weeks haven't been pretty, but head coach Doc Rivers continues to preach consistency to his team. With four games over the next two weeks to close out the regular season, the Clippers will be hard-pressed to get right and make some noise in the playoffs.
