L.A. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan posted a Bob Marley quote on Twitter shortly after Marc Stein of The New York Times tweeted about the Portland Trail Blazers' interest in trading for Jordan.

The NBA trade deadline is on Feb. 8, and rumors have been swirling more and more as it approaches. One of the names that always pops into rumors is Jordan. This is primarily because of Jordan's player option next season and the looming danger of him opting out.

After all, the Clippers are not exactly in the best position right now. They are currently struggling with injuries on their primary players. Blake Griffin, Austin Rivers, Patrick Beverley, Danilo Gallinari and Milos Teodosic have all missed time because of injuries, and some continue to miss time. The result is not a very strong season for the Clippers.

So, it does make sense that the team would want to trade Jordan before the ship completely sinks, to at least get something from him instead of letting him walk.

It's also interesting to know that the Trail Blazers are among the teams that have shown interest on the big man. After all, the Trail Blazers already have Jusuf Nurkic and the Milwaukee Bucks seem to be surfacing as well in rumors with Jordan.

But if Jordan really does get moved before the trade deadline. The team that will get him will not be disappointed. Jordan is averaging 11.8 points and 14.9 rebounds per game for the Clippers this season, and that will be a really impactful player for a team that needs a strong inside presence.
