Despite the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers are currently thriving under the direction of both superstar forward LeBron James and former New Orleans Pelicans All-Star big man Anthony Davis, well-known actor/comedian Michael Rapaport still believes that it will actually be the Western Conference powerhouse's crosstown rival that will hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy when all is said and done this season. Even with the Lakers leading the way in the Western Conference standings, Rapaport believes that the Los Angeles Clippers will be crowned NBA Champions this season.

“The Clippers are winning the championship,” Rapaport recently told Scoop B Radio. “It’s still early but obviously the Clippers are a major problem and the Lakers have been great. They’ve got two and a half centers. All three of them can play. Anthony Davis is like the half of the centers when he wants to be. Dwight [Howard] and JaVale [McGee] are long and big and have a lot of energy and are rim protectors. You know, they’re going to be tough. Kuzma I think is good. I think it’s going to be fun. As much as I can’t stand LeBron, you want to see everybody healthy; especially this year.”

While ultimately picking the Clippers to win it all, Rapaport had no choice but to acknowledge the fact that the Lakers are red-hot at the moment. As it stands today, the Lakers own a Western Conference-best 21-3 record with the Clippers currently sporting a mark of 18-7, good for second place behind only James, Davis and company.
