The L.A. Clippers were having a hard time catching up with the Oklahoma City Thunder’s big three of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony, during Thursday’s game at the Staples Center. Because of this, the Clippers’ arsenal did their best to stop the offensive prowess of the Thunders until further damage was dealt to them after Milos Teodosic went down with an injury.

The Serbian point guard left the matchup early due to a sore plantar fascia. Before any of this happened, Teodosic scored two points and dished out four assists during his nine minutes of playing time.

Though Teodosic wasn’t at the forefront of the Clippers’ offense, the unexpected thing still happened to him after returning from halftime. In fact, he even sat out the second quarter’s last two minutes, proof that he wasn’t by any means overplayed.

This is a very bad thing knowing that it’s the same foot injury that kept him from playing more than 20 games early this season. Because of this, coach Doc Rivers was forced to put Jawun Evans on the floor in replacement for Milos Teodosic.

Now, the Clippers are clearly in for a series of unfortunate events as Patrick Beverley and Austin Rivers aren’t expected to return to playing anytime soon. As of now, it’s likely that Teodosic is unable to play for the Clippers in their game against the Warriors this Saturday.

So far this season, the 30-year-old Teodosic is averaging 8.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 24.4 minutes per game for L.A. in his rookie season.
