LA Clippers star Paul George was fined $35,000 on Thursday afternoon, the NBA announced. The punishment comes after George publicly criticized the officiating in the team's 110-103 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

George, a six-time All-Star, endured a terrible game, shooting 3-of-15 from the field for just 11 points. He did have 12 rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes of play, but couldn't string together a few shots and get going in the game.

After the loss, George had this to say to reporters about the officiating and free throw discrepancy.

“I thought we played well, we lost by seven,” George said. “There was some home-court cooking tonight, to say the least… I mean, it was 19 to 11. You all figure out what those numbers are. It was 19 to 11.”

The Clippers were whistled for 19 fouls to the Sixers' 11. In total, five Clippers players finished with at least three fouls in the game. Eight of the Clippers' 19 fouls also came during the fourth quarter as the Clippers were making a comeback attempt. Ivica Zubac, who had the difficult task of defending Joel Embiid, finished with five fouls in 20 minutes. On Philly's side, Embiid finished with four fouls and Ben Simmons with three fouls. No other player had more than one foul.

George and the Clippers play the NBA's final game before the All-Star break as they take on the Boston Celtics on the road. From there, George's teammate Kawhi Leonard will head right for Chicago and All-Star Weekend where he'll participate in the 69th annual All-Star Game.
