Former NBA player and current radio analyst Rick Mahorn says Los Angeles Clippers small forward Kawhi Leonard is going to get cheered when he returns to Scotiabank Arena next season to face the Toronto Raptors.

Leonard had a magical one-year run with the Raptors last season, guiding Toronto to its first-ever NBA championship.

Even though Leonard left the Raptors this summer for the Clippers, Mahorn believes the fans in Toronto will show Leonard the love he deserves.

Kawhi Leonard signed a three-year deal with the Clippers this summer in free agency. LAC also traded for star swingman Paul George, establishing themselves as legitimate title contenders for the first time in franchise history.

Last season with the Raptors, Leonard showed the world he’s arguably the best player in basketball. The three-time All-Star and two-time Defensive Player of the Year averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists during the regular season.

As all superstars do, Leonard took his game to another level in the playoffs and put up 30.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Toronto defeated the Golden State Warriors in six games in the Finals, with Leonard winning his second Finals MVP.

The Clippers are so excited for the Leonard and George era to begin. It's going to be a fun season in Los Angeles next year, as the Lakers are title contenders as well with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the charge.
