The Los Angeles Clippers have re-signed guard Austin Rivers to a three year, $35 million dollar contract, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Rivers chose to decline his player option, and test free agency this summer, only to return to the Clippers where president and head coach, and his father, Doc Rivers, is determined to keep as much of the same team together as possible.

Rivers averaged 8.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 43.8 percent this past season and gained the respect of his peers by being one of the Clippers best, gutsy and hardest working players, once their stars went down to injury in the western conference playoffs.

Rivers told ESPN he’s happy with the decision to return to LA.

It was tough. But after heavy thinking, I decided I wanted to come back. I'm happy with my decision.
