Blake Griffin may have very well just been the first domino to fall for the L.A. Clippers.

With the NBA trade deadline only a few days away now, the Clippers are reportedly looking to make more moves, one potentially being a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers involving center DeAndre Jordan.

Via The Los Angeles Times:

The Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers have discussed a trade involving L.A. center DeAndre Jordan but a formal offer was never made, according to NBA officials who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

The Clippers have been seeking a first-round draft pick, financial flexibility and young players in return for Jordan, according to the executives.

This is a clear indication that the Clippers are committed to hitting the reset button and rebuilding through the draft and any other young assets they can compile.

It's an interesting idea for the Blazers who have been somewhat satisfied at least with the center position after acquiring Jusuf Nurkic in a trade from the Denver Nuggets just last season. Portland clearly thinks that Jordan would be a significant enough upgrade at center to make entertaining the idea of acquiring him worth it.

Jordan may be a step up defensively and offensively in some ways as well. The Blazers are 10th in the NBA in defensive efficiency this season and 13th offensively. Jordan is averaging 11.6 points, 14.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game while Nurkic's averages are 14.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.

There's no more details on what the potential deal could actually be, it just stands to reason that Portland wouldn't be interested in keeping Nurkic around if Jordan was traded for.
