Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid doesn’t appear to be too popular with opposing big men around the league these days. He’s already had notable bust-ups with the Miami Heat’s Hassan Whiteside and the Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond earlier this season.

And now, L.A. Clippers backup big man Willie Reed is the latest to get Embiid’s attention after he was called for a Flagrant 1 foul on the Sixers' center.

Early during the second quarter of their matchup on Monday night, Joel Embiid was backing down Reed in the block. As Embiid spun to the basket with a wide elbow stance and rose up to attempt a shot, Willie Reed grabbed a hold of Embiid’s shoulder and threw the Sixers big man down to the ground with some force.

Embiid, understandably, took exception to the hard nature of Reed’s foul and immediately popped up to confront the Clippers big man. However, the two were immediately separated by teammates and officials before the situation could escalate any further.

After a lengthy video review, Reed was assessed with a Flagrant 1 foul and Embiid made his two free throws.

Knowing Joel Embiid and how his mind works, he likely won’t forget this bust-up with Willie Reed anytime soon.
