Collin Morikawa has been on a sensational run this year, as he most recently just won the DP World Tour Championship in Europe, becoming the European Tour's best golfer—the first American to do so. Morikawa finished with a final-round 6-under 66, just enough to edge out Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Alexander Bjork in the final round. Through the victory, Morikawa clenched the European Tour's Race to Dubai, and the 24-year-old's journey in Europe was an uphill one, as he entered the final round trailing McIlroy, as the BBC reports:

“But while the other contenders stumbled down the stretch, Morikawa produced a superb run over the last seven holes to close out the tournament – and his season – in style with birdies at the 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th.”

It was a busy year for Morikawa, as he also topped The Open Championship in July, and was a key piece in the United States' victory in the Ryder Cup held in September. Morikawa is now one of two golfers who have won both a World Golf Championship and a major golf championship before the age of 25—the other golfer being Tiger Woods. These victories are 2021's additions to Morikawa's growing trophy collection, as he also won the 2020 PGA Championship.

Evidently, the future is extremely bright for Collin Morikawa.
