The Indianapolis Colts are coming out of their bye week as a healthier team than they were before it. After having a week off, Darius Leonard and Clayton Geathers cleared the concussion protocol on Monday.

Leonard suffered his concussion in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans and has missed the last three games for the Colts. The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year is the heart of the defense and is crucial to being on the field.

Prior to his injury, Leonard has combined for 17 tackles, one sack, and one tackle for loss. Those numbers come after Leonard posted a season where he had 163 tackles, seven sacks, and four forced fumbles as a rookie in 2018.

Before Indianapolis' bye week, Frank Reich's squad was coming off of their most impressive win of the season over an undefeated Kansas City Chiefs team in Arrowhead Stadium. In that game, the depleted Colts defense was able to hold Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense to just 13 points.

Now, the Colts are getting closer to being full strength on defense with multiple players returning. Indianapolis boasts a 3-2 record and currently sit in second place of the AFC South.

As for Geathers, the fifth-year safety missed the game against the Chiefs in Week 5 due to a concussion. This season, Geathers has racked up 19 tackles, one deflection, and an interception.

Getting Geathers back in Week 7 is vital for the Colts defense; with Malik Hooker expected to miss another week with a knee injury. The Colts secondary will have their hands full with a Houston Texans team that has scored 84 points in their past two games.
