The Indianapolis Colts are heading into the offseason with the intention of addressing the quarterback position. Among the free agents they could target, Pro Football Focus believes that Tom Brady is the team's must-sign free agent.

Ahead of the 2019 season, the Colts were shocked when Andrew Luck decided to suddenly retire from the NFL. Luck spent seven seasons in Indianapolis, but injuries began to hinder his career.

When Luck retired, the Colts were forced to turn to Jacoby Brissett as their starting quarterback. As a vote of confidence, Indianapolis signed Brissett to a two-year, $30 million extension through 2020.

In his first full season as a starter, Brissett threw for 2,942 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions. But due to the struggles of the offense and the Colts missing the playoffs, they could look to make a change at quarterback this offseason.

Of the options they have, Brady makes sense for Indianapolis as a short-term solution. For the first time in his career, Brady is going to be an unrestricted free agent. The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback has spent his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots.

On Wednesday, Robert Kraft exclaimed that New England wants to bring Brady back in 2020. However, wanting him to be back and being able to get a reasonable deal done with him are two different things.

While it's possible he returns to Foxborough next season, there's still a chance he ventures elsewhere. In the event that Brady joins the Colts, he already has a formidable offensive line and a decent arsenal of weapons.

Additionally, Brissett has been Brady's backup before when he was drafted by the Patriots. Therefore, Brissett could be right back in the position he was in 2016.
