Every team goes through injury hurdles during the offseason leading into the regular season. Unfortunately for the Indianapolis Colts, the injuries they have seen so far have happened to their key core players.

Quarterback Carson Wentz and all-pro offensive lineman Quenton Nelson already underwent foot surgery that could see them miss the start of the season. Now, star wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is being examined for an upper back/neck injury.

Hilton was apparently injured at practice on Wednesday for the Colts but the injury is just now getting some context to it. It doesn't sound good for Hilton and Indy either.

The Colts and Hilton agreed on a one-year deal in the offseason to keep the fan favorite in Indianapolis. Hilton has spent his first nine years in the league with the Colts and has been the No. 1 wide receiver for most of those years. He's been super productive and reliable and without him on the field for the start of this year, it would be a big blow to the wide receiver depth in Indy.

Some reports indicated Hilton had better offers on the table including a multi-year deal from the Baltimore Ravens. Hilton turned it down to stay with the Colts, something he noted was his priority all along.

“I wanted to stay here no matter what the cost was,” Hilton said in April. “I gave up a lot of money to stay here and that's what I wanted to do.”

Here's to a quick recovery for T.Y. Hilton and getting right for the Colts this season.
