Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton returned to practice Wednesday, despite remaining in the concussion protocol. That bodes well for his chances of suiting up vs the Jets Sunday.

Hilton has only played in two games this season. He missed the first five weeks of the season, making his season debut Week 6 vs Houston. As he usually does, he ran free through the Texans secondary amounting to 80 yards receiving.

However, T.Y. Hilton got banged up, hurting his quad during the game and missed the following week. Upon his return in Week 8, Hilton suffered a concussion. He has remained in the concussion protocol ever since.

The Colts look to get their former Pro Bowl receiver back. In his absence, Michael Pittman Jr. is in the midst of a breakout season.

Pittman Jr. has a team-high 50 catches for 658 yards. Those both rank inside the top 10 in the NFL. Whether or not Hilton returns, expect Pittman Jr. to remain Carson Wentz's top target. But with Parris Campbell landing on injured reserve a couple of weeks ago, the Colts could use the depth.

The division leading Tennessee Titans lost All Pro running back Derrick Henry to a foot injury. He is considered out for the season. That creates a renewed sense within the Colts organization that the division is not lost just yet.

Indianapolis has looked like they can play with any team in the league. The Colts lost to the Ravens and the Rams by 3. They hung with the Titans in both meetings. They have talent on both sides of the ball.

Hopefully, the return of Hilton can help take this offense to the next level.
