Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton said after his team's AFC Divisional Round playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night that he played hurt the last several weeks, according to Mike Wells of ESPN.

Hilton said he had been playing through both high and low ankle sprains.

The 29-year-old caught four passes for 60 yards and the Colts' lone offensive touchdown in the 31-13 loss to the Chiefs. Last week in Indianapolis' Wild Card Round win over the Houston Texans, Hilton hauled in five receptions for 85 yards.

On the year overall, Hilton snared 76 balls for 1,270 yards and six touchdowns.

Hilton, who played his collegiate football at Florida International University, was originally selected by the Colts in the third round (92nd pick overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

He had a very impressive rookie campaign, finishing with 50 catches for 861 yards and seven scores. He then began a streak of four straight 1,000-yard seasons the following year and went on to make four straight Pro Bowl appearances between 2014 and 2017.

Hilton's best year came in 2016, when he racked up 91 receptions for a league-leading 1,448 yards while reaching the end zone six times.

The Miami native just finished the fourth year of a five-year, $85 million contract he signed during the summer of 2015.

The Colts won 10 games on the year, rebounding from an ugly start to become just the third team since the AFL/NFL merger to make the playoffs following a 1-5 start. Indianapolis had won 10 of 11 games before losing to the Chiefs on Saturday evening, losing only to the Jacksonville Jaguars in early December.
