Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott's “Feed Me” gesture after a big run or a first down has become among the marquee celebrations in football.
Naturally, Elliott saw fit to get the moniker tattooed on his stomach, and his mother is warming to her son's new ink.
Elliott explained his mother used to feel slightly perturbed by Elliott's tattoos, though it appears she has become resigned to the idea this is how “Zeke” chooses to express himself:
“At this point, my mom is like over getting mad at me for getting tattoos,” Elliott said, via Jori Epstein of USA TODAY. “Seems now she’s coming around to them.”
The former All-Pro also explained his family used to come to games, which is not possible this season due to COVID-19. Elliott explained he is disappointed his family cannot attend home games, though he apparently agreed to do some work around the house so his mom can still watch his games in luxurious fashion.
“It's going to kind of suck,” Elliott said, via Todd Archer of ESPN. “Me and my mom, we had a trade off. I told her that she couldn't come down this year, so I finished her basement and got her a nice TV and couches so she has somewhere nice to watch the games.”
Dallas certainly fed Zeke the rock in a Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Elliott rushed 22 times for 96 yards and a touchdown, also finishing with three receptions for 31 yards.
The former Ohio State star has become the workhorse for an offense many expect will be one of the highest-scoring units of the 2020 season.
Elliott now has some body art to show off his workhorse mentality, and the Cowboys—and Zeke's mother—will hope he can lead them back to the playoffs in 2020.
