On the last play of last week's contest between the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots, Dallas' CeeDee Lamb waved at New England defensive back Jalen Mills as he showboated into the endzone to seal the overtime win with a 35-yard touchdown catch.

Now, Lamb will have to wave goodbye to a chunk of cash. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the league fined Lamb over $10,000 for the celebration, which received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Should he commit the infraction again, he'll get fined over $15,000.

The fine represents yet another instance of the NFL penalizing a player for simply showing emotion on the football field. In Lamb's case, he was reacting to Mills shoving him out of bounds after he already scored. Pelissero noted that Mills did not receive a fine for his seemingly late hit.

Lamb's touchdown propelled the Cowboys to five straight victories. They're first in the AFC East by three games and Lamb, who leads the team in almost every receiving stat, is a key reason for it. The second-year wideout from Oklahoma is 10th in the league in receiving yards and tied-for-10th in touchdown catches.

The Cowboys are back in action on Sunday Night Football when they visit the Minnesota Vikings.
