It's a great year for Dallas sports. After the Texas Rangers won the World Series, both the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars made it to the Conference Finals of each of their respective leagues. There will still be big bumps on the road. But, four more wins will get Luka Doncic's squad a spot at the Finals of the NBA Playoffs and Tyler Seguin's team a shot to win the Stanley Cup. One team that may feel left behind is the Dallas Cowboys. However, Dak Prescott does not look too concerned about his team not being on par with the others. He even gave out a challenge to both teams remaining in their postseason campaigns.

No jealousy from Dak Prescott

Look, making a deep run in the NBA Playoffs and Stanley Cup Playoffs is never easy. A combination of injury luck, schematic greatness, and insanely good team chemistry is necessary. The Mavericks and Stars just so happened to possess that this year. With all that said, Dak Prescott knows that they are just a few shimmies away from notching the trophies for Dallas. He urged both squads to bring glory to the city, via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

“It’s not jealousy, but it fires you up. I want it for them. Go win it. Rangers did it. The other two go do it. Put more f**king pressure on us,” the Cowboys signal caller declared.

Dak Prescott's squad is the only crew among Dallas' major sports teams that could not make it to the penultimate round of their postseason. They were first in the NFC East but just so happened to come across a scorching hot Green Bay Packers squad. Jordan Love popped off and disallowed the Cowboys from joining the Rangers, Stars, and Mavericks from going deep in the postseason.

Nonetheless, there were bright spots in the Cowboys' run before getting eliminated in the postseason. They had the top-ranked offense with a total of 509 points scored. Their defense was also impeccable because it ranked fifth in all of the NFL because they only allowed 315 points through the whole 16 games.

Dak Prescott's lethality is a big reason for the Cowboys' success. He was able to lead the team to the end zone to 36 passing touchdowns which led the NFL. This also netted them the most drives off to end in a score with a 50.3 Sc%. All of these are good starting blocks for a squad that may want to follow in the footsteps of the Stars, Rangers, and Mavericks this year.

Cowboys' offseason moves so far

Young talent is what the Cowboys have a lot because of their acquisitions throughout the offseason. They went big in the NFL Draft and it landed them some pretty nifty stars of the future. The biggest name that they drafted was Tyler Guyton who might be slated to protect Prescott at left tackle. Guys like Ryan Flournoy, Cooper Beebe, Justin Rogers, and Marshawn Kneeland are also coming in. Development is the name of the game this year. Hopefully, they can make a run similar to their counterparts in the NBA, NHL, and MLB.
