The Dallas Cowboys have secured the NFC East division title for the second time in the last three years. As of this writing, it has placed them as the fourth seed in the playoff picture.

This has pushed forward the notion that the Cowboys could elect to sit quarterback Dak Prescott and Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott for the regular season finale against the New York Giants on Sunday. With that in mind, Prescott has voiced that he isn't in favor of the team going that route, as he wants to continue to build on their forward momentum.

By way of Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com.

“I want to play,” he said after Thursday’s practice. “I don’t know about this ‘not playing’ stuff, but we’ve got momentum that we’ve got to keep going. I think Coach said it before that momentum is huge. It’s a big thing in this league and that’s what it’s about. It’s a team that gets hot. So I think it’s important for a lot of us guys to get out there and play and keep it going.”

Prescott is hoping to build on the Cowboys' strong push in the second half of the season, which has elevated them to the playoffs. Over the course of this strong push, it has been thanks to both ends of the ball playing at a much higher level.

However, Dallas may view playing Prescott or Elliott too great of a risk ahead of the NFL Playoffs.

As it stands, Dallas is a 5.5-point underdog on the road against New York, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
