The offensive line for the Dallas Cowboys was dealt with another gaping hole as All-Pro right guard Zack Martin recently suffered a concussion in their Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. He prematurely left Monday's game in the first half with a concussion and did not return afterward, according to the team's website.

He will be in the NFL's concussion protocol on Tuesday while his status ahead of the team's Week 7 encounter against the Washington Football Team remains to be seen.

Prior to his injury, the Cowboys were already without starting offensive tackles Tyron Smith (neck) and La'el Collins (hip), who are both expected to miss the rest of the season. Starting center Joe Looney (knee) is also currently on the team's reserve/injured list after their previous game against the Cleveland Browns.

Martin's absence slotted second-year guard Connor McGovern in the position for the remainder of the game. The long-time veteran's presence was greatly missed by quarterback Andy Dalton who suffered a total of three sacks and threw two interceptions in the loss.

He also failed to get his teammates involved all throughout the game with rusher Ezekiel Elliot coming up with a disappointing performance of 49 yards on 12 carries and two costly fumbles.

Rookie wideout CeeDee Lamb recorded 64 rushing yards on seven receptions while receiver Michael Gallup was only limited to a dismal 23-yard output on two receptions. The struggles of the offensive rotation eventually led to the Cowboys succumbing to the Cardinals on a 38-10 decision.

Even without a reliable presence like Martin, Dalton will still aim to have a better outing in their Week 7 game against the Washington Football Team to hopefully snag his team's third win of the season.
