The Dallas Cowboys are evidently in panic mode after back-to-back losses which dropped them to 7-4 on the season. After seriously considering the notion of giving running back Ezekiel Elliott some time off so he could heal his sore knee, it appears the Cowboys aren't ready to do that.

Ahead of Thursday's Week 13 matchup with the New Orleans Saints, Jerry Jones revealed that Zeke is going to have a huge part in the offense.

In a nutshell, no rest for Elliott. He's having a decent year, rushing for an average of 4.5 yards per carry, but the last couple of games have been a struggle for the former Ohio State star. Zeke collected a mere 25 rushing yards on nine carries in the team's Thanksgiving overtime loss to the Las Vegas Cowboys. Week 11 wasn't much better, with the Kansas City Chiefs limiting him to 32 yards on the ground.

However, the Cowboys were clearly limiting his load, with Tony Pollard getting a lot of touches as well. But with the possibility of a third-straight loss, Dallas is taking absolutely no chances. They need Zeke on the field and creating havoc.

The Cowboys will also be getting wide receiver CeeDee Lamb back in Week 13 after he missed their game against the Raiders. Head coach Mike McCarthy will be unavailable on Thursday though after testing positive for COVID-19. Dallas is currently in first place in the NFC East.
