The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a nice 2018 campaign in which they won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title. They then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams the following week.

While the Cowboys haven't exactly made any huge additions this offseason, they haven't lost anyone, either, making them a potential darkhorse in the NFC.

Running back Ezekiel Elliott is really looking forward to the 2019 season and is excited to play with Dallas' current group of guys.

“I’m just excited about the group of guys we have,” Elliott said, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News. “I’m excited about the talent we have on this team. I’m excited about the leadership group we have. I think we have a lot of the right pieces. I think we have a lot of promise for this season.”

Elliott's comment comes on the heels of tight end Jason Witten's statement that this version of the Cowboys may be the most talented group he has ever played with.

It's hard to argue with either Elliott or Witten.

With Elliott, Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper, and the return of Witten, not to mention a dynamite offensive line, the Cowboys could have a terrific offense this coming year, and they also have a dangerous defense led by DeMarcus Lawrence and Jaylon Smith.

In an NFC East division that isn't particularly impressive overall, Dallas could make some serious noise in 2019.
