The Dallas Cowboys are steadily cruising towards their goal of making the playoffs and hopefully contend for the Super Bowl title. Plenty of things have gone right for this team so far, but the biggest asset for their success this season can always be pointed back to Dak Prescott.

The quarterback has performed beyond expectations this season, and he showcased against the Detroit Lions why he's deserving of the big contract that he's been waiting on.

Even his teammate, star running back Ezekiel Elliott, thinks that his QB is playing out of his skin.

Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk wrote about how Prescott has impressed the highest-paid running back in the NFL.

“Dak’s playing the best football I’ve ever seen him play,” Elliott said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com. “Something is clicking there and he’s throwing the s— out of the ball. We got a bunch of weapons on the outside he can throw it to, and it’s hard for defenses to stop him, so keep that thing rolling.”

Prescott threw for 444 yards against the Lions, completing three touchdowns in the process. It's also thanks to this outing that he's become the first QB in Cowboys history to have such an achievement. Moreover, he's now had three 400-yard passing games this season. He's matched Tony Romo's record and is one away from being included in an exclusive club that has Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, and Ryan Fitzpatrick as members.

While the 26-year-old QB is flattered with all of the attention, he's focused on helping the Cowboys win more games and lift the Vince Lombardi trophy. If he keeps this kind of performance up, the possibility of him winning the Super Bowl will become a question of when rather than if.
