Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was among the notable additions the Dallas Cowboys made this offseason. It seems he has already embraced the high expectations going into the 2020 NFL season.

According to Mike Fisher of Sports Illustrated, Clinton-Dix made it clear that the Cowboys' eyes are on the Super Bowl:

“We want to win a championship. That’s why we’re here. We’re ready to win a championship.”

Clinton'Dix clearly has not wasted any time getting accustomed to that high hopes that surround Dallas every year. Although declarations of a Super Bowl have become an annual tradition for this team, they certainly have good reason to be optimistic this time around.

Despite losing cornerback Byron Jones in free agency, the addition of Clinton-Dix provides a major boost to the secondary. The veteran has experienced some major change of scenery over the last two years following stints with the Washington Redskins and Chicago Bears.

Fortunately, Clinton-Dix still proved to be quite productive during the 2019 campaign with 78 tackles, five pass deflections, and two interceptions. His presence should help serve as a stabilizing factor for this group moving forward.

Aside from Clinton-Dix, the Cowboys made added yet another big name to their defensive front in tackle Gerald McCoy. Having Pro Bowl-caliber players at each level of the defense should help pay huge dividends for Dallas' potential Super Bowl run this season.

Of course, the Cowboys have always boasted a championship roster heading into each year. The onus will now fall on the new coaching regime headed by Mike McCarthy to make it finally come to fruition.
