The Dallas Cowboys are standing at the top of the NFC East despite suffering a tough loss to the Green Bay Packers. Some fans probably hoped for a better record after Week 5 from head coach Jason Garrett. It would be understandable if some of them are already calling for his firing.

However, team owner Jerry Jones shot down any rumors of dissatisfaction from the Cowboys front office. With Vegas putting his head coach as the next favorite to lose his job, he moved to clear the air.

ESPN's Todd Archer wrote about Jones clearing the air about the future of his head coach:

“Don't bet any money [on] that happening,” Jones said. “You'll lose it.”

He explained that the team has everything it needs to make a run for the Super Bowl. He calls for patience from the fans and to allow Garrett to make the adjustments to put the team back on a winning position.

“Everything is here to have success on the field and we just need to get out here and play better,” Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas.

It must be comforting for Garrett to hear that the owner has enough trust in him despite the tough losses the team endured against stronger NFL teams. However, he knows better than anyone that this tone wouldn't last if their losing skid endures against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Garrett must get Dak Prescott to throw fewer interceptions and the defense to make better plays. Or else, he would have to worry about his job security in Dallas.
