Jerry Jones is no stranger to stirring the pot and he did so again during a radio appearance on 105.3 The FAN. The Dallas Cowboys owner hinted the team could take on former Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants' star Odell Beckham Jr.

“Odell is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor and know that the Cowboys star on that helmet when he puts it on could look pretty good.”

NFL Network's Ian Rapport and Mike Garafolo reported two days ago the Cowboy's interested in Beckham Jr. is real and that they're “expected to be in the mix when he's ready to pick his team upon full recovery from an ACL tear.”

Dallas improved their record to 6-2 after beating the Chicago Bears 49-29 in Week 8. They are two games behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the standings. The Cowboys are fifth in the league in receiving yards but are always looking to add to their wide receiver group. Beckham hasn't played since he tore his ACL in last year's Super Bowl but is expected to make a full recovery by December.

The Cowboys were active in trade talks, according to Rapport, but didn't end up making any big moves. They are going to chase the Eagles for the top spot in the NFC East which has the Giants, who are 6-2, breathing down their necks. Dallas will get a chance to move up the standings when they face the reeling Green Bay Packers in Week 10. In the meantime, Jerry Jones will see what he can do on the Odell Beckham Jr. front.
