Dallas Cowboys rookie sensation Micah Parsons has taken the league by storm with his phenomenal play in 2021, having adapted seamlessly to life in the NFL. After recording his 12th sack of the season in Week 14, Parsons received some bold comparisons to one of, if not the single greatest defensive player of all time, Lawrence Taylor.

When asked about the comparisons flying around, the Cowboys' rookie showed off his humble side, suggesting that he was nowhere near ready to be compared to LT, per Jon Machota.

Parsons isn't letting his outstanding rookie year get to his head and remains well aware that he has a lot of work to put in if he wants to be considered one of the all-time greats. Still, if a player gets mentioned in the same breath as LT, they're doing something right.

Perhaps some fans in Dallas would prefer to hear a confident Parsons boasting that he's ready to shatter LT's record 142 sacks, but the fact that he's keeping a level head shows an impressive amount of maturity from the young superstar. He'll leave the showboating to his play on the field, and that's a solid mentality to have.

After picking up two sacks in Week 14, Parsons brought his season tally to 12, as he's become the runaway favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year, and is certainly in the conversation for Defensive MVP as well. This season, in addition to his 12 sacks, Parsons has recorded 57 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 22 QB hits, and three forced fumbles.
