Getting subbed out is never a pleasant feeling for any self-respecting athlete. You feel frustration at yourself for not being good enough to stay on the court or field. For Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, though, that feeling is doubly worse.

David Helman of Cowboys.com noted that when Parsons was being subbed out at certain moments, the linebacker looked frustrated. When asked about it after the game, the linebacker had this to say. (via David Helman on Twitter)

“Just as a competitor, I hate coming off [the field] – you know what I mean? … I just want to do it all. I'm just embracing everything they're throwing at me. Because, the more I can get on the field, the more I can play, and I feel like the more I can help this team win.”

That's encouraging news for Cowboys fans, who drafted the Penn State alum at No. 12. In their match against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Cowboys were forced to play their prized rookie at defensive end due to multiple injuries to their rotation. Dallas won 20 – 17, but Parsons' time was limited despite having experience playing DE, and he wasn't happy about that

It's frustrating to not be able to play in your preferred position, the Cowboys can console themselves with this tidbit. It's a great thing that your rookie is raring to go onto the field and contribute in any way possible. Hopefully, the Cowboys sort out their injuries woes so we can see Micah Parsons wreak havoc as a linebacker.
