Dallas Cowboys head coach and former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is set to return to Green Bay in Week 10. McCarthy recently addressed emotions upon returning to face his old team, per Michael Gehlken.

“Emotional? I think really, it’s just like anything in this league, you have to get ready to go win. That’s where my mind is. …Obviously, I have great memories in Green Bay,” McCarthy said.

Mike McCarthy later said he addressed potential distractions with the Cowboys. Additionally, McCarthy told the media he doesn't expect distractions to be an issue, per Michael Gehlken.

“Trust me: I’m the last person who ever wants to create a distraction or questions for somebody else. …I’m very grateful for my time there.”

Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys enter this Week 10 affair sporting a 6-2 record. Despite various injuries to stars such as Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas is thriving this season.

The exact opposite can be said for the Packers. Green Bay fell to 3-6 following an embarrassing loss against the lackluster Detroit Lions this past weekend. The Packers are in shambles without question. As a result, the Cowboys are a convincing road favorite.

Nevertheless, Mike McCarthy is well aware of Aaron Rodgers' talent. He will not allow Dallas to take anything for granted despite these two teams' record disparities.

This game could end up being more competitive than people are expecting. The Packers will have extra motivation going up against their former coach in Mike McCarthy. Additionally, there is always underlying tension when these NFC foes go head-to-head.
