Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are looking to win the NFC East division title and are taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 action. Unfortunately, the Cowboys have not been playing well this afternoon even though they hold a 27-13 lead at the time of this writing.
After being shut out 23-0 by the Indianapolis Colts last week, Skip Bayless has had enough with the mediocre play of Prescott.
Normally a major supporter of Prescott, Bayless did not hold back when taking to Twitter to criticize the Cowboys' starting quarterback for the way he has played against Tampa Bay this afternoon. He specifically criticized Prescott for his half-opening drive.
Prescott has not had a bad game against the Buccaneers, completing 18 of his 23 pass attempts for 140 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. He has also rushed for a touchdown in the game.
Bayless likely is suffering from a brief case of being an overly aggressive fan. Lashing out at Prescott on social media after one drive in the middle of what appears likely to be a big win is not an ideal look for a member of the media.
Dallas has had a roller coaster season this year. Prescott has received a lot of criticism, especially early in the year when the Cowboys were struggling to pick up wins. He has also received a lot of praise late in the year when Dallas was on their win streak.
Regardless of the criticism that Bayless gives when he gets overly excited, Prescott is playing solid football and even though the Cowboys have not played a pretty game, they appear headed for another big victory.
