Maybe NFL quarterbacks should stop throwing anywhere close to Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs. The 24-year-old Alabama Crimson Tide program product is playing out of his mind this season. He’s a heat-seeking interception machine no quarterback should even dare challenge until at least he cools off, which doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon.

Diggs scored another pick in Week 6 against the New England Patriots, intercepting a Mac Jones pass and taking it to the house late in the fourth quarter.

That pick-six put the Cowboys ahead by five points, but they relinquished the lead soon after with New England scoring a touchdown via a Kendrick Bourne touchdown grab. Greg Zuerlein would tie the game and force overtime with a 49-yard field goal make before the Cowboys ended the contest on a 35-yard Dak Prescott TD strike to CeeDee Lamb.

Plenty of crazy things happened in that Cowboys-Patriots game, but you could make a strong case that Diggs’ pick should top the power rankings of the insane plays that transpired Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

Even the NFL’s official Twitter account is having fun with Diggs’ onslaught of interceptions.

Diggs now has recorded at least an interception in each of the Cowboys’ first six games of the 2021 NFL season. He had two picks in Dallas’ win at home over the Carolina Panthers in Week 4.
