The Dallas Cowboys have decisions to make regarding their quarterback Dak Prescott and newly acquired receiver Amari Cooper. Both players are in need of new contracts and the team will have to decide whether they want to give them extensions this offseason or not.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys are hoping to get new deals done with both Prescott and Cooper this coming offseason.

Dak Prescott is still under his rookie contract and has had his fair share of ups and downs. However, the Cowboys are committed to Prescott for the future. Despite his rough sophomore season, he looks like he has returned to much better form this season. Dak has been especially brilliant as of late, crushing the Redskins on Thanksgiving with 289 passing yards and three total touchdowns.

The Cowboys recognized how much they were struggling on the offensive end aside from Ezekiel Elliott, so they went out and got Amari Cooper from the Oakland Raiders for a first round pick. Dallas believes Cooper is well worth the price they had to pay.

His performance on Thanksgiving should definitely reinforce their belief in their new receiver. Cooper went ballistic for 180 yards and two touchdowns against the division rival Washington Redskins.

If Prescott and Cooper can establish further chemistry, they may have an unbelievable trifecta on offense with their star running back in the mix as well. The Cowboys were desperate for a talented pass catcher after losing Dez Bryant and Jason Witten this past offseason.

Cooper and Prescott could be primed to make a nice paycheck and with the NFC East up for grabs, they look primed to make the most out of the opportunity.

The young and talented defense is making things a bit easier for the offense as well. The Cowboys have been surging recently ever since Cooper joined the team and in turn their young quarterback looks rejuvenated.
