Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas has been connected heavily to the Dallas Cowboys in recent years, and now the rumors may hold a little more truth. Thomas has reportedly enrolled his kids in a school in Austin, Texas and there has to be more than just a coincidence going on at this point.

Thomas' decision seems to come with the notion that he fully intends to sign with the Dallas Cowboys this offseason. While the decision might not fully confirm that Thomas will sign with Dallas, it's growing increasingly likely he is completely moving on from playing with Seattle. Thomas suffered a season-ending injury earlier this season after not signing a contract extension, and Thomas voiced his frustrations about the situation this past season.

The Seahawks will undoubtedly be missing a huge presence on defense if Thomas does walk away from the team. The defense appears to be on track to make a decent comeback after losing many key players over the years. The linebacker duo of K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner could be the priority for Seattle to keep intact as well defensive end Frank Clark. Despite the defense not living up to it's previous Legion of Boom years, the defensive unit has played fairly well since losing many key players.

If Dallas can sway Thomas over next season, it could be a huge difference maker for the defense as they clearly emerged last season with linebackers Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch leading the way.
