First featured back in 2018, Cyndaquil returns to Pokemon GO for a Classic Community Day! From event bonuses to medals you can grind, here is our Pokemon GO Cyndaquil Classic Community Day Guide made just for you!

Cyndaquil Classic Community Day

The June 2024 Cyndaquil Classic Community Day is set to happen on June 22, 2024, Sunday, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.

Cyndaquil was first featured in a Community Day event way back in November 2018. During this classic community day event, Cyndaquil will be appearing more frequently in the wild.

In Pokemon GO, Cyndaquil evolves into Quilava using 25 Quilava candies. It then further evolves into Typhlosion using 100 Cyndaquil candies.

For this event, evolving Quilava during the Cyndaquil Classic Community Day results in a Typhlosion that knows the charged move Blast Burn.

PokeStop Showcases

The Cyndaquil Classic Community Day event will also be featuring PokeStop Showcases! Thus, be sure to be on the lookout for those XXL Cyndaquils and remember not to accidentally transfer them.

Cyndaquil Classic Community Day Bonuses

Just as with every community day event, here is a list of in-game bonuses players can expect to be active during the Cyndaquil Classic Community Day:

  • 2× XP for catching Pokemon
  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokemon
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three whole hours
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three whole hours
  • Taking a few snapshots during the Cyndaquil Classic Community Day will give you surprise encounters with the Fire Mouse Pokémon

Other Bonuses During Cyndaquil Community Day

During the event, Cyndaquil Classic Community Day–themed Field Research tasks that require you to catch Cyndaquil are available for players to get after spinning PokeStops. The rewards given by those Field Research tasks range from additional encounters with Cyndaquil, Stardust, Great Balls, and more.

Lastly, consider mega evolving a Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Mega Blaziken, or opt for a Primal Groudon for the additional Cyndaquil catch candy bonus.

Continuing this Pokemon Cyndaquil Classic Community Day Guide, let us talk about the paid features for this event. As such, here are some of the features you can pay for during the Cyndaquil Classic Community Day this June 2024 in Pokemon GO.

For a single dollar (or the equivalent pricing tier in a player's local currency), players can unlock an exclusive Cyndaquil Classic Community Day Special Research Story.

Besides the exclusive community day special research story, there will also be community day bundles during this event. Here is a list of them:

Medals to Grind on Cyndaquil Community Day

Last on this Pokemon GO Cyndaquil Classic Community Day Guide are the medals that you can grind during this event. Considering players need to grind for Platinum medals in Pokemon GO, here are some of the medals players can complete during the Goomy Community Day event this June 2024:

Pokedex Medals

If you have yet to register Cyndaquil and its succeeding evolutions Quilava and Typhlosion in the Pokedex, doing so will result in adding progress towards the Johto Medal, which requires players to register all 100 Johto Region Pokemon in their Pokedex.

Pokemon Type Medals

Catching Cyndaquil during the community day event will add progress toward finishing the Kindler Medal. Accomplishing the Kindler Medal comes after a player has caught 2,5000 Fire-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
