The Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott got off to a blazing start to the season but have cooled off since. The Cowboys will come out of their bye week to face the New York Giants on Monday Night Football in Week 9.

When the season began, it was all smiles for Dallas as they won their first three games of the season. While they were undefeated, Prescott was lighting up opposing defenses with 920 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Since then, the Cowboys have stalled out and have lost three of their last four games (including to the winless New York Jets in Week 6). Over that span, Prescott had thrown for 1,203 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Luckily for him, he will get a chance to face a mediocre Giants defense on Monday night. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Cowboys' quarterback versus the Giants in Week 9.

3. Prescott will throw for three touchdowns

Again, in the past four games, Prescott has thrown only three touchdowns for the Cowboys. The fourth-year quarterback will match that number on Monday versus his NFC East rival.

The last time that Prescott faced the Giants, he threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns back in Week 1. The Cowboys' starting signal-caller will complete three touchdowns against New York in Week 9.

In the first eight weeks, the Giants have surrendered 13 passing touchdowns (21st in the NFL). That number will drastically increase after Monday night's contest.

2. Prescott will throw for 400 yards

Over the course of his career, Prescott has performed very well against the Giants. As a matter of fact, the 26-year-old quarterback has 1,944 yards and 14 touchdowns when facing New York (both are the highest-totals for Prescott against any one team in the NFL).

As mentioned above, the Mississipi State product aired it out for 405 yards when he faced the Giants in Week 1. It was the first game that Prescott had thrown for over 400 yards when facing New York.

This week, in a nationally televised game, Prescott will throw for 400 yards again.

1. Prescott will rush for two touchdowns

One of the reasons why Prescott has had success in the NFL is his ability to create plays with his legs. Throughout his first 55 games in the NFL, he has rushed for 1,107 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground.

Of all of those rushing touchdowns, Prescott has never scored two rushing touchdowns in one game. That will no longer be the case in Week 9 when he gets the ball into the end zone twice with his legs.

New York has allowed three rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks this season (tied for second-most in the NFL). By allowing two rushing touchdowns to Prescott, the Giants would jump to the most in the NFL after Week 9.
