The Dallas Cowboys Week 17 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals is one of the better matchups, on paper, of the entire Sunday slate of games. The Cowboys (11-4) take on a Cardinals team (10-5) in a game that sees two teams heading in seemingly opposite directions. After a 1-3 November, Dallas was 4-0 in December and has already clinched the NFC East division title.

The Cardinals, on the other hand, are coming off of three straight losses in a period in which their main division rival, the Los Angeles Rams went 3-0. The slump has put Arizona from a two-game lead to a one-game deficit in the division in the manner of three weeks. Here are four predictions from Sunday's Cowboys-Cardinals game that might extend Arizona's losing streak by one more game.

Cowboys Week 17 Predictions

4. Demarcus Lawrence will get two sacks

The Cardinals have only allowed 33 sacks so far in 2021, good for the sixth-best rate in the league. This week will be different, however as the Cardinals will pay too much attention to stud rookie linebacker Micah Parsons–and for good reason–which will lead to single-teams all day for Lawrence. After missing two months of the season due to injury, Lawrence has started to return to his pre-injury form with two sacks in his last three games. He will hit that total in just a single game on Sunday and he will be one of the Cowboys' keys to their potential victory.

3. Dak Prescott will throw for four touchdowns

This one is another bold prediction in the sense that it simply has not happened yet this season. The Cardinals have allowed the fifth least passing yards per game in 2021 (210.7) and just 24 passing touchdowns in 16 games. That is 1.5 per game…

The Cowboys don't care about that stat, though, as they know they haven't been stopped as an offense for the past month or so. In fact, in Dallas' last five games, they gave averaged over thirty points per game, including a 56-point showing last Sunday.

2. Ceedee Lamb will catch two touchdowns

Last week, fellow receiver Amari Cooper greased the proverbial wheels of the offense to get himself more targets and it worked as he had one of the best games of his season. This week, it will be Lamb's time to shine as the go-to target for Prescott. With Cooper shadowed all game long by Cardinals cornerback Byron Murphy, it will be up to CeeDee to carry the brunt of the offensive load. He will come up clutch with two touchdowns for the third time this year.

1. Micah Parsons will win the game with a fumble recovery

This oddly specific prediction is one of our favorites of the week. Not only because Parsons has not recovered a fumble yet in 2021, but because the player who forces the fumble will be Trevon Diggs. After being beaten repeatedly by Christian Kirk for four quarters, Diggs will step up with the game on the line and deliver the forced fumble that is then recovered by Parsons. The Cowboys will then run the clock out with a knee or two and win the game 35-31.
