The Dallas Cowboys defense has been outright dominant lately. Since their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, they have won four straight games. During the win streak, the Cowboys defense has created a whopping 14 turnovers. Three of those turnovers were turned into defensive touchdowns.

While the Cowboys offense has beens streaky this season, the defense has carried the football team. That effort has been led by 2nd year cornerback Trevon Diggs and rookie linebacker Micah Parsons.

For the season, Diggs has 11 interceptions, which leads the NFL by a wide margin. J.C. Jackson of the New England Patriots is 2nd with just seven.

Meanwhile, Parsons has 13 sacks this season, which places him 6th in the league. Together, this Cowboys duo accomplished a feat never seen before in NFL history.

Diggs and Parsons became the teammates where one player had 10 or more sacks and another had 10 or more interceptions in the same season.

Their play on the field has got praise from the highest order. Parsons has already been compared to the legend, Lawrence Taylor.

Parsons downplayed the comparison, which is exactly what Cowboys fans would want to hear. This duo remains humble and focused on the task at hand. The Dallas Cowboys are 11-4 and have clinched the NFC East. But they have bigger goals. They are only one game behind the Green Bay Packers for the overall #1 seed and the only first round bye in the playoffs.

Dallas owns the tiebreaker on Green Bay. So if the Cowboys win out and the Packers drop one of their last two games, Dallas will earn the bye week.
