Dana White is no stranger to women in MMA. At one point he even said ‘women would never fight in the UFC.' Yet here we are years later with four different divisions a bunch of high-profile fights.
Dana White has seen some of the ‘baddest' women compete in the UFC cage. He was recently asked about it by Yahoo! Sports and he knew who his four were.
“Listen, in my opinion right now and before that fight, the four baddest women on Earth are Amanda Nunes, Valentina Shevchenko, Rose Namajunas, and Weili Zhang,” UFC president Dana White said (transcription via MMA News). “So anything can happen on Saturday night. The interesting thing about Rose is she’s so unassuming. She’s so quiet and so sweet and a tiny little thing. She will knock you dead with her hands, with her feet, she has that female knockout power. And so does Weili.”
Dana White went ahead and picked three current champions with one former champion. The choices were all solid and difficult to argue with.
Rose Namajunas and Weili Zhang are actually set to fight in a rematch at the upcoming UFC 268 card. The bout is set to be a very exciting one.
Amanda Nunes has been considered the Greatest of all Time in women's MMA. It's difficult to argue with a UFC champion in two different weight classes and multiple title defenses.
Valentina Shevchenko is one of the most feared fighters in the UFC. Her inclusion on the list simply goes without saying.
