During the offseason, NBA players often use the time to conduct some of their public appearances to the nearby community or local events.

San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green recently held his annual two-day camp in Laredo, Texas. It didn't turn out be the experience that those in attendance had hoped to get from Green as many bashed him for being rude and unprofessional, according to Jordan Ray of the Laredo Morning Times.

Spurs guard Danny Green stopped by Laredo over the weekend for his annual two-day camp, but it doesn't appear that he left a good impression with locals.

Laredoans blasted the 2014 NBA champion on social media Monday morning, saying he was acting “stuck up” and “rude” during his trip.

“Most stuck up player [on] the Spurs roster,” one person posted to Facebook. “Don't bring him back to the Gateway City.”

Another person said Green “looked so bored” while signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

There were varying comments made toward Green ranging from him being arrogant to completely disinterested in what was happening. All of this doesn't paint a positive public image of the 30-year-old.

That said, there are two sides to every story that should allow for Green to give his perspective on what exactly happened at his camp. This would provide some much-needed clarity on why there was much disgruntlement from the locals in attendance.

For the time being, this is a minor problem for the Spurs' public relations having to try and fix the situation. Being a member of the team makes Green a representation of what the organization stands for on and off the court regardless of what he is taking part in.

Green has carved out a respectable eight-year NBA career with the bulk of that time being spent with the Spurs while holding career averages of 8.8 points on 42.3 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc with 3.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 25 minutes per game. This includes winning an NBA title with San Antonio and an NBA All-Defensive Second Team nod for this past season.
