Throughout his NBA career, DeMarcus Cousins has been recognized as one of the most talented centers in the league. His ability to score either by facing or having his back to the basket makes him a nightmare matchup for opposing coaches night in and night out. However, his head coach, Dave Joerger, believes that there's one thing that the Sacramento Kings big man does not get enough credit for.

Asked what he thinks is the most overlooked aspect of Cousins, the 42-year-old coach explained how much the 26-year-old Kentucky product has improved his approach to games and how he has changed his demeanor on and off the court.

“He gets credit for his talent. He gets credit that he’s improved in the league. I think he doesn’t get enough credit for the way that his approach to the game and the way that he’s carrying himself and conducting himself has greatly improved. He’s a good person. Now being with him, I see improvement over the last three years, the way that he goes about his business. I think that’s very positive.”

Cousins has of course had his share of issues regarding his behavior in the past. However, with Joerger's statement, the Sacramento faithful can finally breathe a sigh of relief as their franchise player is showing signs of maturity.

If Cousins can continue to stay true to his coach's claim, it will definitely be a big boost to the Kings as he can be the leader the team had always imagined him to be and help them in their quest to make it to the playoffs this season.
