The Golden State Warriors cruised through the playoffs with one minor hiccup on the way to their second NBA title in the last three years.

In light of that, veteran big man David West told CBS Sports Radio's Gio and Jones show on Friday the result of the team's excellent channels of communication throughout the organization.

“I know what works for us is we communicate. Draymond (Green) does a good job of just keeping the locker room wide open. Andre (Iguodala) does, too. Any issues we’re having, Steve (Kerr) addresses them. We talk everything out, and everybody’s on the same page.

The Warriors seemed to hit stride near the tail end of the season that saw them drop just one game dating back to April 10 on their way to winning the NBA title on June 12. They turned into a practically unstoppable well-oiled offensive machine that cracked 100 points in each of the 17 games played in the postseason.

There was simply no answer to slowing them down especially once Kevin Durant got going late in the playoffs that led to a dominating offensive performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers, helping him earn the 2o17 NBA Finals MVP award.

This also made it an easy decision for West to agree to come back for at least one more season on a one-year deal worth $2.3 million with a chance to repeat this upcoming campaign with the Warriors.
