Javonte Williams' has insane potential and could become a star next year. However, the Broncos seem to like the idea of having two competent running backs in the backfield. For that reason, we could see Denver make a surprise signing in free agency to help out the rushing attack even more so. If they can do that, the offense will be near impossible to defend.
We should see Denver be incredibly active throughout the offseason. Although the defense is great, the Broncos should aim to make a couple of moves to maintain that part of the field. They could go after a decent inside linebacker while making it a point to bring back Kyle Fuller as well. However, the one question that must be asked. Is this the year the front office reels in a franchise quarterback?
With that said, here are four bold Broncos offseason predictions.
Broncos Offseason Predictions
4. Front office signs Ronald Jones Jr. in free agency
After seeing how well Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon played together it wouldn't be shocking to see the Broncos maintain a one-two punch out of the backfield. Williams is bound to be the top option, but having Ronald Jones Jr. potentially help with the workload could give this team a dangerous run game next year.
Considering the NFL added a regular-season game to the schedule, the trend across the league is to utilize a two-running back system. We'll see how it plays out, but the Broncos should have Ronald Jones Jr. on their radar.
3. The franchise signs Jayon Brown to improve the linebacking core
Defensively, the Broncos are one of the best in the league. Even so, it wouldn't hurt for the front office to find some decent players to stack the defense. When healthy, Jayon Brown proved to be a reliable inside linebacker who is great in pass coverage. He'd bring a unique element to Denver that could help the front seven in that area.

2. Broncos re-sign Kyle Fuller
Patrick Surtain Jr. is a rising star, but he can't cover the secondary by himself. Kyle Fuller has proven to be a reliable player throughout his career and deserves to return as one of the starting cornerbacks on this defense. It'll be interesting to see what kind of deal he signs, as multiple teams should be bidding on him. If the Broncos hope to maintain their elite defense, bringing Fuller back should be a priority in the offseason.
1. Denver finds a franchise quarterback
Rumors continue to build around the idea of the Broncos trading for Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers have made moves this offseason that seem to be in the direct interest of keeping Rodgers on their team. Even though he'd be a perfect fit for Denver, he's not the only quarterback available.
The Broncos have plenty of options to choose from. Russell Wilson could be on the trade block, and of course, the Houston Texans are planning on trading Deshaun Watson. If Denver can't get a deal done, they could look to free agency instead. The free-agent options are not ideal for this team. With that said, it's more realistic the front office selects a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft instead. Either way, we should see a new quarterback under center for this franchise.
