The Houston Texans quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is coming off his best season in the NFL. And yet, Even with Bill O'Brien out of Houston, is it really a surprise that the Texans have found a way to ruin their team?

Watson led the league in passing yards with 4,823 with a 70.2% completion percentage, 33 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. Despite a 4-12 record, the Texans were fourth in the NFL in passing yards per game and had one of the most dynamic passing attacks in the NFL.

Even with no DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller missing games due to suspension and Brandin Cooks missing some time with injuries, Deshaun Watson still managed to put together a fantastic season.

The Texans hired former Patriots Director of Player Personnel, Nick Caserio, to be the new General Manager of the team. Normally, this would be a good move, but the Texans just can't seem to get on the same page with their franchise QB.

Deshaun Watson was apparently disgruntled by the fact that the Texans management did not consult Watson or take any of his recommendations for their decision to hire a new GM. As a result, rumors are swirling that Watson may demand a trade for the upcoming 2021 season.

A franchise quarterback rarely hits the open market this early in his career. Elite quarterback talents are hard to come by and are never up for sale at age 25.

A good percentage of the league has to be salivating at the opportunity of getting Watson.

Here are the three best trade destinations for Deshaun Watson if he demands out:

#1. Washington Football Team

This year has been a coming out party for the Football Team, who has showcased their elite talent on the defensive end, led by Chase Young. The Washington defense ranks top ten in the league in nearly every statistical category and is the reason for their playoff berth.

It's clear that Washington is in desperate need of a quarterback to generate consistent offense for this team. Despite making the playoffs, the Washington offense ranked 25th in scoring this season, and 25th in passing yards per game.

They struggled to move the ball through the air regardless of who was in at quarterback, but the constant QB change definitely didn't help.

What can Washington do with a franchise quarterback?

A hobbled Alex Smith went 5-1 as a starter and led the franchise to the NFC East division title, imagine what Deshaun Watson would do.

Watson would elevate this offense and make this one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC. Deshaun would have a legitimate number one wide receiver again in Terry McLaurin, a solid running game with Antonio Gibson and JD McKissic, and a reliable tight end for the first time in his career (Logan Thomas).

This division hasn't had a repeat winner in 16 years. Watson would not only make Washington the clear best team in the division, but he would make them a playoff team every single year.

Washington would be an excellent fit for Deshaun.

#2. LA Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are a consistent quarterback away from being one of the most dominant teams in the NFL. Despite inking Jared Goff to a sizeable deal, the Rams should look to move on from Goff if Watson is on the table.

Watson would be joining an electric offense with one of the best offensive play-callers in the NFL in Sean McVay.

With a three-pronged running attack and a top 10 wide receiver duo in the NFL, Watson would be in heaven in that Rams offense.

Defensively, the Rams are already stacked. Aaron Donald is the undisputed best defensive player in the NFL and Jalen Ramsey is easily a top three cornerback in the game. Their superstar talent on defense ranked them as the best defense in the NFL this year.

The Rams squeaked into the playoffs as a wild card team, but given their roster, should be one of the most elite teams in the NFC. Deshaun Watson would elevate them to reach that level. Watson would not make the mistakes that Jared Goff does, and give them the edge in so many close games that the Rams lost this season.

A Deshaun Watson trade to LA would be a great fit for both parties.

#3. New Orleans Saints

With rumors going around that Drew Brees is going to retire after the 2020 season, one of the most high powered offenses is left with a gaping hole at quarterback. Taysom Hill proved that he was capable of winning games, but he is not a long term answer for the Saints. Deshaun Watson would certainly be.

Watson would be stepping into what is already one of the best offenses in the NFL. He would have weapons in the backfield with Alvin Kamara, and he would be paired with a top five receiver in the game in Michael Thomas.

The options don't stop there, however. Emmanuel Sanders, Tre'Quan Smith, Latavius Murray, and Jared Cook round out one of the deepest offenses in the league. Not to mention the Saints are a dome team with one of the best offensive coaches in the NFL. This seems like a match made in heaven.

The Saints defense, they're also pretty darn good. The Saints defense ranks as the fifth best defense against the pass and the fourth best against the run. They are complete on all three levels of defense and have some of the most electric playmakers in their secondary.

The Saints are poised to win now, and with Drew Brees out, they would welcome Deshaun Watson with open arms. If I were Deshaun Watson, I would be ecstatic to land in New Orleans.

Deshaun Watson Trade Overall

This list could be made for about 20 teams in the NFL. There are very few teams that wouldn't want to make a move to grab Deshaun Watson. Generational talents like Watson are rarely ever available, so the market will be big and active.

Regardless of where he goes, or if he ends up staying, it's every NFL fan's hope that his talent doesn't get wasted on a losing franchise.

Let's get Deshaun to the super bowl!
