With Halloween appropriately about a week away, the Arizona Diamondbacks proved that they are the team that just won't die. No matter what you do to them or who you send after them, they somehow survive. The Snakes provided the Philadelphia Phillies with their own personal horror flick Tuesday night, as they shockingly won Game 7 of the National League Championship Series, 4-2.

The formerly red-hot Trea Turner, Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos went a combined 0-for-12, and Citizens Bank Park was utterly powerless against Corbin Carroll and the Arizona bullpen. Rookie Brandon Pfaadt also did his job, pitching four innings while giving up two runs. As the Diamondbacks celebrated their second ever World Series berth, Alek Thomas exclaimed what should be the team's mantra.

“Like I said before, We ain't done yet,” he and a few hyped-up members of the D-backs repeated over and over again.

Thomas went hitless in his only at-bat of the night, but he definitely left his mark on this epic NLCS. His go-ahead home run in Game 4 capped off a big comeback and turned the whole series around. Earlier in the season, he spent a month in Triple-A Reno. Now, he is headed to the Fall Classic, at just 23 years of age. Thomas and the entire club are wildly ahead of schedule, partly because they possess an infinite amount of resilience.

The Texas Rangers successfully traded haymakers with the Houston Astros to earn their World Series spot, so it might be easy to subconsciously assume that the worst is over. But doing so could be a huge mistake. They are in for another fight against possibly the scrappiest squad the MLB has to offer.

Alek Thomas' words will hauntingly echo all through Philly, and potentially into Arlington this weekend.
