The Los Angeles Dodgers recently agreed to terms on a deal with pitcher Jordan Yamamoto. This will be an overlooked signing by many. But Yamamoto was once a highly-regarded prospect in the Miami Marlins' organization. He recently revealed his goal after signing in LA.

“Let’s go @Dodgers! Glad to be apart of an amazing organization! Excited to get my career back on track!” Yamamoto wrote on Twitter.

The Dodgers have signed a number of pitchers looking to get back on track in recent years. The moves worked out to perfection last season, as Tyler Anderson and Andrew Heaney shined in LA. Pitching coach Mark Prior has developed a reputation for getting the most out of his pitchers. Although the Dodgers have had a relatively quiet offseason, there is reason to be optimistic.

Jordan Yamamoto broke into the big leagues during the 2019 campaign with Miami. He ultimately posted a 4.46 ERA over 15 games pitched. He's only pitched in 6 MLB games since 2019, all of which came in 2020 and 2021.

Nevertheless, he will provide pitching depth. Unfortunately, injuries are destined to occur which makes extra pitchers nothing short of a necessity. However, Yamamoto could earn a big league job with a strong showing during the spring. He features impressive stuff and has the potential to impact the Dodgers.

In addition to Yamamoto, the Dodgers also agreed to terms with pitcher Wander Suero. Suero, a veteran relief pitcher, could also play a role for the ball club at some point in 2023.

We will continue to provide updates on the Dodgers as they are made available.
