Bang bang. Buzzer boy. Cheaters. Los Angeles Dodgers fans have been itching for the chance to heckle Houston Astros players ever since news broke of the Astros cheating scandal back during the 2017 MLB regular season and postseason, in which the Astros defeated the Dodgers 4 games to 3 in the World Series. Now that the Astros are playing at Dodger Stadium for the first time since then, Dodger fans have seized the moment, as captured in a tweet from a fan named Jerry Reynoso.

We all knew that something special was going to happen once Houston players took a visit to Dodger stadium, but no one could have guessed this was coming. As soon as the Astros took the field for warmups in yesterday's series opener, players were mercilessly booed. The booing continued throughout the rest of the night.

Though peeing on one's baseball cards is quite the act of disrespect, at least the Dodger fans who took part appear to be thoroughly hydrated, as evidenced by the lack of visible color in the urinal.

Reynoso also provided additional details in a subsequent tweet, writing:

“There were so many people lining up for the Altuve urinal”

Hopefully for the Astros, and the rest of Major League Baseball, the heckling serves a strong cautionary tale against unethical cheating of any kind.

Though there may have been – and most likely were – other teams that took part in cheating as well during the time period that the Astros did, cheating is meant to be used as a device to succeed. So, if the cheating works as intended, only the winners will be caught; just because other teams didn't get caught for their own scandals doesn't mean that the Astros should get off scot-free, as they did in their “punishment” from the MLB.

Sometimes, when the authorities don't perform their jobs to standard, the fans must take justice into their own hands. Salute, Dodgers fans.
