Los Angeles Dodgers fans always knew that Max Scherzer was good after year-round matchups against the Washington Nationals. But it's hard to imagine he'd be THIS good.

However, Max Scherzer's epic run with the Dodgers thus far isn't just about getting more attention from a bigger market. Trea Turner, his longtime teammate on the Nationals, admitted that this is arguably the best that Scherzer has ever looked.

Via Daniel Palma of Dodgers Nation:

“Yeah. I was there for at least parts of his Cy-Young years, and for me, this is as good as I can remember him. I think he’s been so efficient lately, which in the past he would have his games where he would throw 100 pitches in 6 innings and have to grind it out. But I feel like the last few starts he’s been so efficient and he’s still striking people out.. so probably the most dominant I’ve seen him or at least tied for it.”

This is Turner's seventh season alongside Max Scherzer, which gives him plenty of credibility when it comes to seeing the Cy Young winning pitcher at his best.

The man hasn't given up an earned run in his last 37 innings and counting, knocking down his ERA to an immaculate 0.88 in eight starts with the Dodgers. If Max Scherzer continues to throw heat at this level, it'll go a long way in securing a back-to-back World Series title for Los Angeles
