With former Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase now leading the rival New York Jets, the AFC East franchise has since turned to another team in the division to replace the aforementioned Gase. Plucking Brian Flores from the reigning Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, the Dolphins are now hoping that the first-year head coach can help turn things around in a hurry in Miami.

Despite being a first-year NFL head coach, Flores is already receiving praise and respect from some of his players in Miami — Dolphins running back Kenyan Drake included.

Of course, with the Jets getting a little better this offseason in addition to the presence of the always dangerous Patriots still very much alive, not much is expected from Flores and company in 2019-20. However, it is worth noting that some progress was made this offseason as the Dolphins managed to snag former first-round draft pick and former UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen from the Arizona Cardinals, who infamously selected fellow signal caller Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Even with the Jets, Dolphins and Buffalo Bills all seemingly finding players that could serve as their respective quarterbacks of the future, it is still Tom Brady's world and the rest of the AFC East is just living in it. With the Patriots reaching the playoffs pretty much every season at this point, in addition to winning the division on an annual basis, the Dolphins have only reached the postseason four times since the 2000-2001 campaign.
