Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores says it's too early to tell if wide receiver Jakeem Grant's season is over, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Grant suffered a high-ankle sprain during the Dolphins' loss to the Cleveland Browns this past Sunday.

High-ankle sprains generally take a month (if not more) to fully heal, so there does seem to be a good chance that Miami has lost Grant for the rest of the year depending on the severity of the sprain.

In the 10 games he has played this season, Grant has logged 19 catches for 164 yards. He has also returned 23 kicks for 578 yards and a touchdown.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas Tech, was originally selected by the Dolphins in the sixth round (186th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign, playing primarily as a returner. He returned 20 punts for 165 yards and a touchdown while also returning 19 kicks for 439 yards.

The following year, Grant started seeing more time as a receiver, catching 13 balls for 203 yards and two scores. In 2018, he had 21 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns while also tallying both kick return and punt return scores, the former of which went for an NFL-high 102 yards.

Miami won't be going winless like many anticipated this season, as the club put together back-to-back wins over the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts in Weeks 9 and 10. The Dolphins remain one of the league's worst teams, however, as they are just 2-9.

Flores' club will take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
