Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard has maintained a relatively low profile despite being one of the league's better corners, and DeAngelo Hall thinks that needs to change.

Howard has been playing at an elite level, but he often doesn't get included in the national media discussion. When asked recently which corner was better than Howard, Hall declared flatly “nobody,” per Alain Poupart of the team's official site.

“Now, there’s some guys that do things different,” Hall said. “But you gotta get the ball. You gotta get the ball. I was always a corner who got the ball, so if you want to get to the top of my list, you gotta get the football.”

Howard had a league-high seven interceptions last season, so he's certainly good at getting to the ball.

When breaking down a play where Howard initially got beat by a step, Hall was impressed by his cool under pressure and recovery.

“Most DBs get in this situation and they panic,” Hall said. “They start grabbing and pulling. You see Xavien Howard keeps running until he sees Brandin Cooks’ hands. He puts his hands up and he shows you his ball skills.”

“I don’t know if people are giving me the kind of love that I’m giving him, but right now he’s playing some of the best football that any corner in the National Football League is playing,” Hall said. “That goes for Pat Pete (Patrick Peterson); that goes for Jalen Ramsey, because the neutralizer is this kid gets the ball.”

Hall spent 14 years in the league and once picked off four passes in a single game, so he knows what he's talking about. The former Redskin finished by saying “this kid right here is something really special.” The Dolphins certainly agree, as they just gave him a massive extension this offseason.
